Alliance Personnel Agency - Arlington, TX is currently working with a client in their search to fill a 8am-6pm, Shipping and Receiving position in Grand Prairie, TX. The pay rate is $18.00 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable candidate to verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments involving inventory and prepare items for shipping. This job fast pace with a sense of Urgency Environment

Responsibilities:

• Duties include verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material arranging for the transportation of products prepare items for shipment.
• Compare shipping routes or methods to determine which have the least environmental impact.
• Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
• Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
• Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
• Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, storage, or demurrage charges, using a computer or price list.
• Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
• Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter.
• Deliver or route materials to departments using hand trucks, conveyors, or sorting bins.
• Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped.
• Fast pace with a sense of Urgency Environment

Education: No Requirements

Experience:

• Wanting minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving, Erp software/Business central
• Experience is a plus but not required

Physical:

• Must be able to lift 20- 50+lbs 
• Reach 
• Bend
• Stamina
• Must be able to stand on feet all-day 
• Work without AC/Heat
• Conversational English
