Alliance Personnel Agency - Dallas, TX is currently working with a client in their search to fill a 6am - 2:30pm, Installation/Mechanic position in Saginaw, TX. The pay rate is $22.00 to $30.00 HOURLY.
Job Description:
Our ideal candidate will be a quality driver individual who possesses a positive attitude, works collaboratively with a team, and has a keen eye for detail. Candidate must have own tools to properly perform job description as listed below. 5 years minimum experience. Please include 2 good references from a recent Employer/Shop lead/Foreman/manager.
Responsibilities:
- Install and Repair of dump bodies, flat beds, power take off systems, auxiliary lighting systems, toolboxes, and hitches, etc.
- Measure velocity, horsepower, revolutions per minute (rpm), amperage, circuitry, and voltage of units or parts to diagnose problems, using ammeters, voltmeters, watt meters, and other testing devices.
- Record repairs required, parts used, and labor time.
- Reassemble repaired electric motors to specified requirements and ratings, using hand tools and electrical meters.
- Repair and rebuild defective mechanical parts in electric motors, generators, and related equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
- Inspect electrical connections, wiring, relays, charging resistance boxes, and storage batteries, following wiring diagrams.
- Read service guides to find information needed to perform repairs.
- Inspect and test equipment to locate damage or worn parts and diagnose malfunctions or read work orders or schematic drawings to determine required repairs.
- Lubricate moving parts.
- Disassemble defective equipment so that repairs can be made, using hand tools.
- Lift units or parts such as motors or generators, using cranes or chain hoists, or signal crane operators to lift heavy parts or subassemblies.
- Weld, braze, or solder electrical connections.
- Adjust working parts, such as fan belts, contacts, and springs, using hand tools and gauges.
- Scrape and clean units or parts, using cleaning solvents and equipment such as buffing wheels.
Education: High School
- Basic knowledge of 12-volt electrical systems, mobile hydraulic systems, (PTO's and pumps)
Experience: 60 months
- Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years of experience as mechanic in the industry or related experience in other mechanic work.
- MIG welding skills a plus
- Must be able to follow detailed instructions and be able to work in a team environment and be punctual.
- Basic hand tools required
Physical:
- Must be able to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Will operate primarily in a workshop setting
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- May be required to lift up to 50lbs
- Mandator overtime is sometimes required
Skills:
- Must have the ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems in a timely manner.
- Basic fabrication skills such as MIG welding, plasma torch, cutting, grinding, drill, measure and fabricate as needed.
- Stay on task with little to no supervision to meet production deadlines as needed.
